Job summary

Mid Valley Family Foods is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead beverage quality, food safety, and laboratory activities. You will own the site Quality Management System, drive CAPA and root-cause analysis, and ensure adherence to SQF, HACCP, GMPs, FDA, and industry standards.

The role requires 5+ years in QA leadership, strong data analysis, and excellent communication to coach teams and support audits across manufacturing, sanitation, and packaging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field preferred; food/beverage manufacturing experience accepted in lieu.
• 5+ years of quality assurance, food safety, sanitation, or lab leadership in food/beverage sectors.
• Supervisory or management experience leading quality teams and cross-functional initiatives.
• Working knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMPs, FDA requirements, audits, CAPA, and documentation control.
• Experience with pasteurized beverage, juice, tea, dairy, or refrigerated products is a plus.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and support 24/7 manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Own and promote safety culture across plant, lab, and production areas.
• Lead quality, lab, sanitation verification, and QA system activities.
• Ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, GMP, FDA, and related regulations.
• Maintain site Quality Management System, records, audits, and documentation controls.
• Lead root-cause analysis and CAPA to reduce re-occurrence and improve processes.
• Act as escalation point for sanitation, pasteurization, CIP, filler hygiene, and regulatory questions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and support validations.
• Coach and develop quality supervisors, technicians, and lab personnel.
• Ensure cross-training and consistent role clarity across quality and lab teams.
• Support audits (customer, regulatory, certification, brand) and continuous improvement.
