Job summary

Kinsa Group, a family-owned beverage company in the Detroit area, is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality initiatives across the production process. This on-site role focuses on safety, compliance, and continuous improvement, guiding a team of technicians and ensuring regulatory standards are met.

You will manage audits, HACCP, and food safety plans while collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold product quality and customer satisfaction in a growing organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Familiarity with HACCP, GMPs, and quality systems.
• Knowledge of FDA and local regulatory requirements.
• HACCP certification and PCQI/SQF Practitioner credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of quality technicians and batchers, providing training and evaluations.
• Ensure raw materials, process parameters, sanitation, and finished products meet all quality and regulatory standards.
• Lead and audit quality programs, maintaining proper documentation and compliance.
• Oversee HACCP and Food Safety plan implementation and monitoring.
• Support customer inquiries and manage non-compliance issues, providing timely feedback.
• Lead preparation and response for quality audits and inspections.
