Better Made Snack Foods Inc is seeking a Quality/Production Supervisor to oversee production floor operations and quality control. The role emphasizes maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency across lines, with responsibilities spanning from personnel supervision to issue resolution.

Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably food/beverage, and a HS diploma with a preference for a Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Supervises quality personnel to ensure duties are performed and provides direction as needed.
• Assesses results and provides timely feedback to employees.
• Identifies, documents, and reports quality issues promptly; records all shift incidents.
• Ensures production lines run and produce a quality product by inspecting affected areas.
• Follows up on quality issues and implements plans to improve quality and efficiency.
• Reviews paperwork to identify intervention areas.
• Calibrates hydrometer monthly and balances weekly with documented results.
• Develops seasoning samples when needed.
• Monitors allergen schedules and RBK rundown coding as required.
• Ensures monthly mock audits are completed.
• Provides quality improvement education through regular meetings.
• Tracks hold issues and maintenance of the hold book; tracks waste and AIM readings.
• Supervises specific aspects of production floor, equipment, raw materials, and personnel.
• Tracks usage of raw materials and finished product pounds; records data for accounting.
• Trains supervisors and employees on various production tasks.
• Maintains files and paperwork; oversees production startups and housekeeping during downtime.
• Ensures end-of-week cleaning inspection and approves production areas/equipment.
