Job summary

The Assistant Beverage Manager at Churchill Downs Incorporated's Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City leads the daily operations of bars and related beverage outlets, driving guest satisfaction and profitable beverage programs.

You will hire, train, develop and evaluate beverage staff, plan workloads, schedule shifts, and ensure consistent high standards in service, presentation and product quality. Collaborate with leadership to implement promotions and manage budgets during peak periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Degree or additional coursework in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
• Two to three years of progressive experience in a full-service dining environment preferred.
• Must obtain valid gaming license, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assists with hiring, training, development and management of Beverage staff
• Plans workloads and assigns staff; trains, motivates and evaluates them
• Sets department standards and budgeting processes for planning and operation
• Supervises staff to ensure service quality
• Collaborates with management on promotions and activities
• Monitors dining operations to ensure staffing and guest service
• Reviews activities to ensure standards; provides staff breaks
• Ensures guest satisfaction and loyalty
• Participates in setting marketing policies and goals
• Maintains health, safety, and hygiene codes
• Performs other related duties
