Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a Beverage Department Supervisor to oversee staff, schedules, and cost controls in a dynamic casino setting. You will manage budgets, ensure top-tier guest service, and collaborate across departments to support events and daily operations.

The role requires a four-year beverage supervisory background, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field is required.
  • Minimum four years of Beverage supervisory experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage staff in the Beverage department; develop and monitor goals and profit objectives.
  • Create effective schedules, manage labor costs, and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Establish beverage menu and maintain inventories and records.
  • Develop and enforce department policies to control costs while maintaining quality.
  • Coordinate with other departments and support special events as needed.

  • Responsible for supervising and managing staff in the Beverage department. Develops, implements, and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Creates effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives, and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Establishes product menu and records product inventories.
  • Creates and maintains Beverage department policies and procedures to control beverage and labor costs while maintaining quality product, presentation, and service.
  • Communicates with all other departments as they relate to the Beverage operation to coordinate activities or correct problems.
  • Provides Beverage support for special events when necessary.
  • Monitors inventory of all Beverage product.
  • Responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department by providing recommendations; ensures compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reports budget concerns to manager. - Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with departmental and company standards and programs.
  • Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.
  • Responsible for the overall achievement of departmental customer service goals.
  • Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance within area of authority and reporting potential issues to Executive Management/GM.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field from four-year college or university; four (4) years of Beverage or equivalent experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior gaming experience preferred.
  • Minimum four (4) years of supervisory experience required.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
  • Must have proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Ability to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as business needs dictate.
