Job summary

Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg is seeking a Beverage Department Supervisor to lead staff, develop schedules, manage inventories, and maintain service quality across all shifts.

You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, coordinate with other departments for events, and contribute to budgeting while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and four years beverage supervisory experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends.
  • Ability to write reports and present information to managers.
  • Strong math skills for inventory, budgeting, and cost control.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage staff in the Beverage department and monitor performance.
  • Develop schedules that control labor costs and meet guest satisfaction.
  • Set beverage menu and manage inventories.
  • Create beverage policies to control costs while ensuring quality.
  • Coordinate with other departments and assist with events.
  • Monitor inventory of beverage products.
  • Assist in budgeting and report budget concerns.
  • Promote excellent customer service and maintain department standards.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and report issues to management.
  • Maintain confidentiality in department and company matters.

  • Responsible for supervising and managing staff in the Beverage department. Develops, implements and manages operational goals and monitors achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Creates effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Establishes product menu and records product inventories.
  • Creates and maintains beverage department policies and procedures to control beverage and labor costs while maintaining the quality product, presentation, and service.
  • Communicates with all other departments as they relate to the Beverage operation to coordinate activities or correct problems.
  • Provides beverage support for special events when necessary. - Monitors inventory of all beverage products.
  • Responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department and provide recommendations; ensuring compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to the manager.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise. Responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals.
  • Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance within the area of authority and reporting potential issues to Executive Management/GM.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in a related field from four-year college or university; four years Beverage or equivalent experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior gaming experience preferred. Minimum of four years of supervisory experience required.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
