  1. Manage inventory and purchase supplies and ingredients for drinks on the menu. Update the beverage menu based on trends or inventory changes. Ensure menu items are correctly priced to achieve desired beverage costs.
  2. Hire and train staff on food and drink preparation, health and safety standards, and alcoholic beverage service.
  3. Maintain adequate staffing levels for the bar team at all times, while adhering to budget guidelines.
  4. Ensure guests have a positive dining experience, including creating moments of surprise and delight when possible.
  5. Enforce health and safety standards and food safety compliance. Educate staff on proper food handling, storage, presentation, handwashing, and protective clothing.
  6. Ensure the bar team has comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage ingredients.
  7. Provide ongoing training to the bar team to deliver luxury service to guests.
  8. Support the bar team in conducting proper opening and closing procedures.
  9. Ensure the bar is fully stocked with all necessary items for each shift.
  10. Engage with guests during their dining experience to meet their needs.
  11. Conduct daily meetings with the bar team to review daily operations and beverage offerings.
  12. Assist with overall restaurant management, including floor shifts, bartender support, and wine recommendations.
  13. Comply with all federal, state, and local beverage regulations.
  14. Monitor beverage inventory levels through frequent checks and ensure adequate stock at all times.
  15. Complete monthly inventory reports.
  16. Attend necessary meetings (e.g., BEO, Rallies, Leadership).
  17. Collaborate with the Events team to assist with beverage ordering for events.
  18. Keep beverage storage areas organized and secure at all times.

Pay Range: $65,000/year - $75,000/year

Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge of wines, champagne, fortified wines, beer, and spirits.
  • Deep understanding of current beverage service procedures, trends, wine tools, service, and culture.
  • Experience curating a cellar.
  • Experience developing and implementing beverage menus.
  • Certified or hold an Advanced Diploma from the Court of Master Sommeliers or WSET equivalent.
