Job summary

Green Light Distribution is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to drive sales by expanding accounts through outbound calls and inbound inquiries. You will manage a portfolio of retail accounts, build relationships with buyers and managers, and identify opportunities to add brands and placements.

You will maintain a high-activity sales rhythm, meet revenue targets, and work to upsell and reactivate accounts in a quota-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years in tele-sales, inside sales, outside sales, account management, customer service, or B2B sales.
• Experience making high-volume outbound sales calls and meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Experience managing a portfolio of customers and developing long-term relationships.
• Experience in beverage distribution, wine & spirits, beer, CPG, food distribution, hospitality, or retail is strongly preferred.
• Experience selling to liquor stores, convenience stores, restaurants, bars, clubs, grocery stores, or other retail accounts is a plus.
• Experience with order entry, CRM systems, customer databases, or sales management software.
• Demonstrated ability to upsell, cross-sell, introduce new products, reactivate inactive customers, and increase account revenue.
• Experience in a quota-driven, commission-based, or performance-oriented sales environment.
• Previous experience with a beverage distributor or supplier.
• All candidates must pass a comprehensive pre-employment background screening.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of retail accounts through outbound and inbound telephone communication.
• Proactively contact customers to generate orders and achieve sales objectives.
• Develop relationships with retail buyers, owners, managers, and purchasing personnel.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales through new products, placements, and promotions.
• Introduce customers to new brands, products, promotions, and priority items.
• Recommend products based on customer business and purchasing history.
• Reactivate inactive or declining accounts through targeted outbound efforts.
• Maintain a consistent call schedule and high-quality account coverage.
• Meet or exceed sales, revenue, volume, and activity targets.
