Job summary

Hyundai Mobis in Blythewood, SC seeks a Production Manager to oversee day-to-day battery module and BEV production operations. You will lead a team of supervisors and technicians, ensure safety, quality, and on-time output, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the module division.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and practical knowledge of manufacturing processes, with focus on IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 compliance.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year college degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 5 years automotive experience.
• Automotive parts assembly experience preferred, with 0-2 years in modular components or battery systems.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and QA techniques; experience with manufacturing process problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Plan short- and long-term objectives for Battery Module & Battery System production.
• Provide capacity and labor planning for all module division manufacturing.
• Coordinate continuous improvement teams to boost productivity, quality, and safety.
• Lead corrective action planning with root-cause analysis and effective improvements.
• Provide monthly training on continuous improvement philosophy and best practices.
• Coach team members and resolve conflicts while ensuring health, safety and environmental goals.
