Job summary

Toyota is seeking a Manager for Battery Manufacturing Production Engineering to plan, manage, and develop the BME Department, ensuring Production Preparation activities align with business targets and SOP milestones. The role collaborates with E&F, ILE and overseas teams to drive capital projects and continuous improvement across TBMNC battery initiatives.

You will lead start-up activities, coordinate with Japan and other affiliates, and develop talent while supporting weekend and travel

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering.
Experience in Toyota Production Preparation or Toyota Manufacturing.
Experience managing large Toyota capital projects over $20M.
Experience in a Toyota management role with direct reports.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Experience in battery production facility startup or pilot project.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement TBMNC BEV battery lines to meet project KPIs.
Plan, manage and oversee capital budget spending for your area.
Collaborate with Environmental & Facilities, Logistics and other groups for design and permitting support.
Collaborate with Toyota Japan and other affiliates for TBMNC battery projects.
Support the TBMNC to pursue continuous improvement and cost-competitive activities.
Engage and resolve technical and organizational issues with vendors, suppliers, customers to achieve KPIs.
Lead training and development for direct reports.
Lead training opportunities in Japan for BEV Battery team development.
