Job summary

NovaSource Power Services is seeking a BESS Field Technician II in San Antonio, TX. This technical role involves monitoring and maintaining large-scale battery energy storage systems, reading electrical schematics, and ensuring safe operations per company standards.

The candidate should have 2+ years of related experience or a Journey level certification, with proficiency in SCADA, electrical controls, and CMMS tracking. A High School diploma is required; college/technical training is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a related position or Journey level certification.
• Experience in operating and maintaining power plant electrical systems, SCADA and controls systems operation, troubleshooting advanced electrical components, and using procedures to perform equipment preventative and corrective maintenance preferred.
• High school diploma required; college/technical degree preferred; military or utility training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor BESS plant operation through SCADA, commissioning, testing and inspection of systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair and modify AC and DC BESS components including inverters and switchgear.
• Follow safety/environmental procedures and maintain documentation.
