Job summary

Strata Clean Energy is seeking a PPM BESS Field Technician to support safe operation and maintenance of utility-scale battery energy storage systems and related equipment. You will perform preventive and corrective work across electrical, controls, SCADA, and mechanical systems, with emphasis on safety and documentation.

The role may require working with energized equipment, traveling to remote sites, and communicating risks during job briefings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years in utility-scale PV/BESS or equivalent industrial electrical work.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA NFPA 70E and MV safety practices.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and OEM manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on BESS equipment and balance-of-plant systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and support repair of battery systems, switchgear, transformers, HVAC, and SCADA equipment.
• Review alarms, events, and trends to identify abnormal conditions and restore service safely.
• Coordinate maintenance with supervisors, vendors, and contractors; maintain CMMS records.
