Job summary

Moss & Associates is seeking a Site Safety Manager - BESS to lead all EHS functions at a multi-state battery energy storage project. You will ensure compliance with Moss standards and regulatory requirements, partnering with Operations, Electrical and Commissioning to safely manage high-risk work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of applicable EHS leadership experience.
• BS in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent (preferred).
• BCSP Certification (minimum CHST).
• Experience supporting BESS, solar, substation, or industrial electrical projects strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in verbal and written English; bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all EHS functions on the assigned BESS project site.
• Implement and enforce the Site-Specific Safety Plan (SSSP) and BESS SWIs.
• Partner with project leadership to align safety execution with schedule and milestones.
• Coordinate with electrical and commissioning teams to manage interconnection and energization risks.
• Conduct field audits, inspections, and incident investigations; lead emergency response.
