Job summary

Moss is seeking a SITE SAFETY MANAGER - BESS to lead all EHS functions at a multi-state battery energy storage project site. This role requires up to 100% travel and close collaboration with Operations, Electrical, and Commissioning teams to manage high‑risk activities safely.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of EHS leadership, BCSP CHST, and experience with BESS, solar or industrial electrical projects, with strong English communication and field coaching skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of EHS leadership experience.
• Experience supporting BESS, solar, substation, or industrial electrical projects.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1926 requirements, NFPA 70E fundamentals, LOTO and energy isolation practices, electrical hazard controls in construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead all EHS functions on the assigned BESS project site.
• Provide direction and oversight to site safety staff and enforce the Site-Specific Safety Plan and SWIs.
• Partner with project leadership to align safety execution with schedule, manpower and milestones.
• Implement safety controls for BESS installation and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with electrical and commissioning teams to manage risks related to interconnection, testing and energization.
• Lead emergency response planning and incident investigations.
