Job summary

GHD North America seeks a Lead — Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to drive storage growth in the U.S. and Canada. You bring deep command of utility‑scale standalone and hybrid assets and excel as a seller‑doer, coordinating with Wind and Transmission & Distribution leads for diverse delivery models.

Responsibilities include owning the regional BESS strategy, leading feasibility sizing, and building relationships with developers, utilities, IPPs, and financiers. Hybrid work model offered.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years in power systems or energy infra with 5+ years in BESS or hybrid storage.
• Experience in Owner’s/Independent Engineer roles and interconnection studies.
• Li‑ion BESS safety and NFPA 855 familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Own regional BESS strategy and go‑to‑market; oversee development stages.
• Lead feasibility sizing and microgrid/hybrid optimization studies.
• Build client relationships with developers, utilities, IPPs, financiers.
• Mentor cross‑regional team; use standardized tools and playbooks.
