A global energy solutions provider is seeking a Lead for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to contribute to the growth of storage solutions in the U.S. and Canada. The role involves leading regional strategy, managing client relationships, and ensuring high-quality delivery across the BESS lifecycle. Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in power systems and a strong educational background in engineering. This position offers a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Owner’s/Independent Engineer roles.
• Strong knowledge of grid codes and interconnection standards.
• Demonstrable pipeline development in high-growth storage markets.

Responsibilities

• Own the regional BESS strategy and go-to-market.
• Lead programs for techno-economic sizing and optimization.
• Build client relationships with developers and utilities.

Skills

10–15 years in power systems or energy infrastructure

Experience in utility-scale BESS or hybrid renewables

Familiarity with Li-ion BESS safety and fire protection standards

Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams

Excellent communication

Education

B.Eng./B.Sc. (electrical preferred)

P.Eng./PE (or eligibility)
