Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking a BESS Electrical Estimator in a hybrid role with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA. You will prepare electrical estimates for battery energy storage systems and support PV solar estimates as needed.

Responsibilities include reviewing specs, performing takeoffs, coordinating with suppliers, and using Accubid Anywhere/Manager for labor and material calculations. A degree in engineering or related field and 3+ years of estimating experience are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of three years of electrical estimating or related experience.
• Ability to understand substation, transmission, switchyard, energy storage, and electrical design components.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Accubid.

Responsibilities

• Review specs and drawings to define scope and estimate requirements.
• Prepare estimates by takesoffs and entering scope into estimating system.
• Quantify bid package incidentals including subcontractors, equipment rentals, and materials.
• Identify suppliers, solicit quotes, and review submissions for alignment with plans.
• Use Accubid Anywhere for labor allocation and takeoffs; improve assemblies in Accubid Manager.
