Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator II for PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems to join our energy estimating team.

The role involves developing and completing utility-scale solar PV and BESS estimates, coordinating with Estimating, Preconstruction, Project Management, Purchasing, and Engineering teams, and reviewing drawings and RFQs. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of solar and EPC estimating experience, strong take-off and vendor management skills, and the ability to work

Qualifications

7+ years of estimating experience in solar PV and EPC environments.
Experience with design/build and EPC project delivery methods.
Proficiency with Accubid or similar estimating software.

Responsibilities

Perform all levels and types of estimating, planning, scheduling and cost engineering activities.
Accurately perform material quantity take-offs for renewable energy projects.
Manage relationships with subcontractors and material vendors; RFQ prep & evaluation.
Develop and maintain vendor pricing datasets and internal databases.
Prepare RFQs and evaluate vendor pricing; reconcile scopes of work.
Lead bid reviews and coordinate with Estimating, Preconstruction, PM, Purchasing and Engineering teams.
