Job summary

FlexGen, based in Durham, NC, seeks an Asset Manager for its Lifecycle Solutions team to optimize availability and performance of battery energy storage systems under LTSA. You’ll coordinate maintenance, monitor performance, and drive improvements across internal teams, OEMs, and customers.

The role blends technical operations with asset management, requiring strong communication, analytical skills, and a focus on reliability, cost management, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years in asset management, operations, or technical services.
• Strong understanding of BESS technology and grid operations.
• Experience using Salesforce or other CMMS for issue tracking.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the post-commissioning lifecycle of BESS assets and LTSA requirements.
• Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and field services to minimize downtime.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance plans and spare parts inventory.
• Collaborate with OEMs, internal teams, and customers to resolve issues.
• Leverage CMMS and Salesforce to track issues and provide updates.
• Apply Lean principles to streamline maintenance workflows.
