Job summary

MAPEI S.p.A. seeks a BES District Manager to promote and sell Polyglass Waterproofing products across the designated US territory.

You will develop relationships with distribution, consultants, contractors, and architects while meeting monthly budgeted sales targets and forecasting market trends. You will implement optimal sales strategies, prospect new distributors, manage projects from specifications to completion, and report on opportunities, competitive activity, and product issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of industry sales experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to travel at least 25%.

Responsibilities

• Maintains existing sales and grows additional sales at current customer base under the direction of the RSL.
• Implements sales strategy as defined by the Regional Sales Leadership Team.
• Actively prospects new distributors, contractors and specifiers.
• Manages projects from the specification stage to full completion.
• Explores project leads / opportunities in the assigned geographical sales district.
• Conducts trainings and presentations with Architectural, Distribution, Consultant, and Contractor groups.
• Uses basic troubleshooting to handle day-to-day problems at customer locations in the district.
• Reports on product problems, competitive activities, trends, and opportunities at existing accounts.
• Partners with the specifier community to develop Polyglass BES systems.
• Plans and organizes work to achieve efficient results.
• Performs other duties as required.

Position Summary

The BES District Manager (BESDM) is primarily responsible for promoting and selling Polyglass Waterproofing products in the assigned territory while developing relationships with distribution, consultants, contractors, and architects. In addition to meeting a monthly budgeted sales plan, the position will help forecast trends and acquire competitive information.

Responsibilities

• Maintains existing sales and grows additional sales at current customer base under the direction of the RSL.
• Implements sales strategy as defined by the Regional Sales Leadership Team.
• Actively prospects new distributors, contractors and specifiers.
• Manages projects from the specification stage to full completion.
• Explores project leads / opportunities that are in an assigned geographical sales district.
• Conducts trainings and presentations with the following groups: Architectural, Distribution, Consultant, and Contractor.
• Uses basic troubleshooting skills to handle day-to-day problem solving at assigned customer locations in sales district.
• Responsible for reporting and providing updates/next steps for the following: product problems, competitive activities, trends, and new sales opportunities at existing accounts in sales district.
• Partners closely with the specifier community to develop Polyglass specified BES systems.
• Effectively plans and organizes work to get efficient and effective results.
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
• A minimum of 2-5 years of industry experience as a sales representative or any equivalent combination of related training and experience is required.
• Required High School or equivalent completion
• Requires a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to travel a minimum of 25% or as needed to fulfill business needs
