Qualifications

• Requires reading and comprehension of instructions.
• Strong maintenance and light mechanical skills including brakes, batteries, tires, filters, fluids.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to appointments within a 25–50 mile radius.
• Perform on-site mobile services such as oil changes, brakes, tires, fluids, and inspections.
• Diagnose concerns, provide safe transparent repairs with photos/videos.
• Close out work using tablet-based workflow with estimates and approvals.
• Maintain and restock the mobile van inventory; request parts as needed.
• Ensure safety, spill prevention, and a clean mobile workspace.
• Deliver 5-star customer experiences with clear communication and professional appearance.
• Collaborate with service and parts teams; support events and fleet days.

SUMMARY

The Mobile Service Technician will drive a dealer-provided service vehicle to customers’ homes or workplaces to perform maintenance and light repairs on-site.

• Travel to scheduled appointments within a 25-to-50-mile radius
• Perform mobile services, such as changing oil, filters, batteries, brakes, tires/ rotations, wipers, fluid exchanges, inspections, bulb replacements, diagnostic scans, software reset, and updates (as applicable)
• Verify concerns, diagnose, and recommend safe transparent repairs with photo/video
• Close out work using a tablet-based workflow (estimates, approvals, parts usage, notes, photos)
• Maintain van inventory as needed
• Request parts and restock the van as needed
• Follows spill prevention and environmental procedures
• Keep a clean safe mobile workspace
• Deliver 5-star customer experiences with clear communication, professional appearances, and a tidy job site
• Track and meet KPI’s by arriving on time, first time fixed rate, quality/comeback rate, CSI, and upsell attachments
• Support occasional special events and fleet days. Collaborate with service and parts teams
• Follow technician procedures and processes aligned with Bert Ogden policies
• Other duties as assigned

• Perform mobile services, such as changing oil, filters, batteries, brakes, tires/ rotations, wipers, fluid exchanges, inspections, bulb replacements, diagnostic scans, software reset, and updates (as applicable)

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or the equivalent
• ASE certification preferred
• 2+ years professional automotive service experience preferred

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, stooping, and reaching
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, noise, and chemicals
• Occasional lifting, standing, crawling, reaching, use of stairs
• Occasional attendance at social gatherings
• Ability to travel
