Bert Ogden Auto Group is seeking a QC Specialist to perform final quality inspections on serviced vehicles, ensuring safety and quality before customer delivery. You will verify lug nut torque and check oil drain plugs and filter housings for leaks.

You will document results, red-tag failures, and coordinate with service staff to ensure every vehicle meets standards before release.

Responsabilidades

• Perform final quality inspections on all serviced vehicles before release.
• Verify all lug nuts are present, undamaged, and torqued to manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect oil pan drain plug and oil filter housing for proper installation and leaks.
• Document inspection results using the QC Inspection Checklist for each vehicle.
• Red-tag and report any failed inspections or safety concerns to the Shop Foreman or Service Manager.
• Record all corrective actions and re-inspect vehicles.
• Ensure all completed checklists are signed, dated, and attached to the Repair Order.
• Coordinate with Service Advisors and Cashiers to verify QC completion before vehicle delivery.
• Maintain adherence to Bert Ogden Auto Group’s safety and quality standards.
• Remain available during all shop hours and ensure coverage during absences.
• Uphold zero tolerance for missed inspections or critical safety errors.

The QC Specialist serves as the final checkpoint to guarantee that all vehicles are safe, compliant, and ready for release.

This includes verifying proper torque of all lug nuts and confirming that the oil pan drain plug and oil filter housing are properly secured and free of leaks. The QC Specialist serves as the final checkpoint to guarantee that all vehicles are safe, compliant, and ready for release.

Requirements

• Perform final quality inspections on all serviced vehicles before release.
• Verify all lug nuts are present, undamaged, and torqued to manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect oil pan drain plug and oil filter housing for proper installation and leaks.
• Use proper tools and PPE, ensuring torque wrenches and inspection equipment are calibrated.
• Document inspection results using the QC Inspection Checklist for each vehicle.
• Red-tag and report any failed inspections or safety concerns immediately to the Shop Foreman or Service Manager.
• Record all corrective actions and re-inspect vehicles after repairs.
• Ensure all completed checklists are signed, dated, and attached to the Repair Order.
• Coordinate with Service Advisors and Cashiers to verify QC completion before vehicle delivery.

• Remain available during all shop hours and ensure coverage during absences.

Qualifications

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

• Ability to accurately complete documentation and follow processes.
• Effective communication with technicians, service advisors, and management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to stand, bend, and move under vehicles for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. safely.
• Occasional lifting, standing, crawling, reaching, use of stairs.
• Occasional attendance at social gatherings.
• Ability to travel occasionally.
