Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport in Lowell, AR seeks a Benefits Manager I to lead day-to-day wellness and benefits programs within Human Resources. The role partners with HR Business Partners and HR Operations to address employee needs and ensure accurate administration.

You will oversee benefits data in HRIS, manage vendors, and ensure COBRA/HIPAA compliance while guiding junior staff and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field with 5+ years in Benefits Administration
• Or 9 years of combined relevant education, experience and training
• Master's degree in HR or related field with 5-7 years of Benefits Administration experience (preferred)
• Strong analytical, communication, confidentiality, multi-tasking and relationship-building abilities

Responsibilities

• Manage employee wellness and benefits programs (group life, medical, dental, disability, EAP, pensions)
• Ensure benefits policies are administered fairly and consistently
• Approve benefit eligibility for employees
• Collaborate with HR Centers of Expertise and HR Operations
• Oversee collection and accuracy of benefits data in the HRIS
• Audit data transfers between organization and benefits vendors
• Manage benefits and wellness vendors and respond to inquiries
• Handle escalated issues raised by junior staff
• Perform other duties as assigned
