Job summary

HUB International is seeking a Benefits Technology Specialist I in San Diego to support the Benefits Technology Team with a high volume of technical work assignments. The role focuses on configuring benefit administration platforms for new clients and renewals, and collaborating on build requests.

The successful candidate will test configurations, provide technical consultation to Producers and Service Teams, and demonstrate platforms to clients.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Benefits/Account Management experience.
• 1-2 years of related customer service.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Life & Health insurance license preferred or open to obtaining license.
• Experience in benefits technology platforms, enrollment processes, EDI/API feeds are a plus.
• Strong written/verbal communication with both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to use data for strategy.
• High attention to detail and reliability.
• Must possess teamwork, client service orientation and results focus.

Responsibilities

• Configure benefit administration platforms such as Ease and Employee Navigator for new clients and renewals.
• Collaborate with Benefits Technology Team to complete build workbooks for new builds and renewals.
• Project manage builds with timelines and deliverables.
• Test new and existing system functionality for accuracy of client configuration.
• Provide technical consultation to Producers and Service Team for prospects and clients.
• Provide client-facing and internal demonstrations of benefits platforms.
• Audit platform builds and resolve errors.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and communicate findings.
• Communicate with carriers and vendors for build mapping.
• Run reports, manage intake process and research service inquiries.
