About the role
You will support a Regional Executive and Voluntary Sales Executive for the Life, Disability, and Supplemental Health product lines for Inforce business. Your responsibilities include managing relationships with new and existing customers, growing the business, and resolving issues as they arise. The role requires a good understanding of the external marketplace, generating profitable revenue growth through customer retention, expansion, and satisfaction.
What you'll do in this role
- Provide service to an existing book of business, serving as the primary contact for accounts with 50-499 lives.
- Respond to customer inquiries by 2pm on the same day, providing excellent service.
- Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal partners, including Implementation Managers, to support new business implementation.
- Manage daily service tasks such as Agent of Record changes, licensing, amendments, billing resolutions, data feeds, claims, and enrollment support.
- Educate clients about products, services, and Symetra processes, including occasional face-to-face meetings and events (up to 5% travel).
- Partner with Regional Account Managers on cases with 5,000+ lives to create a dedicated service team.
- Collaborate with Regional Sales Executives to identify growth opportunities.
- Drive proactive service touchpoints and track activities in CRM to demonstrate value.
- Resolve issues organization-wide and serve as the primary liaison.
- Manage the renewal process, including requesting census data, coordinating underwriting, and delivering renewal decisions.
- Negotiate with underwriting to maximize renewal efforts and create presentation materials for large cases.
- Communicate renewal decisions and stay current with industry and customer needs to support ongoing learning.
- Participate in special projects and committees to improve processes.
- Manage implementations for state-mandated coverages and support colleagues during peak seasons.
- Attend implementation calls to learn about new customers.

Compensation
Hourly salary range: $28.93 - $48.24, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.
Who you are
- Knowledge of Life and Disability insurance; understanding of health and welfare benefits preferred.
- Life and Health insurance license or ability to obtain one within 3 months.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
