Job summary

Consolidated Asset Management Services (CAMS) is seeking a Benefits Specialist to support day-to-day administration of health, welfare, retirement, and leave-related benefit programs. You will work closely with the Benefits Manager as a primary contact for employee benefit inquiries and enrollments.

The role requires 3+ years in benefits administration, knowledge of COBRA/ACA/ERISA/FMLA, and strong communication skills. Travel is occasional, and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of benefits administration experience.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in HR, Business, or related field.
• Knowledge of health and welfare plans, retirement plans, leave programs, and open enrollment processes.
• Familiarity with COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, ERISA, and FMLA.
• Experience using HRIS, benefits administration, and payroll systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word/Outlook/Teams).
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for employee benefit inquiries and enrollment guidance.
• Administer health, welfare, retirement, leave-related, and voluntary benefit programs.
• Process enrollments, life events, beneficiary updates, terminations, COBRA, and other benefit transactions.
• Maintain benefit records in HRIS and vendor systems; conduct audits for data integrity.
• Coordinate with benefit providers, brokers, payroll, and internal stakeholders.
• Review and reconcile benefit invoices and eligibility files.
• Support annual open enrollment planning, communications, testing, and enrollment administration.
• Develop and distribute benefit-related communications and wellness information.
• Assist with audits, regulatory filings, and compliance activities.
