Dahl Consulting is seeking a Benefits Specialist in Detroit Lakes, MN to support benefits enrollment, eligibility, claims, and plan options. This permanent role reports to the HR team and focuses on accurate recordkeeping and regulatory compliance.

You will educate employees on benefit options, coordinate with vendors, and assist with open enrollment, while maintaining confidential records and supporting HR processes. This role requires attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in benefits administration, HR, or a related field.
• Knowledge of employee benefit programs (health, dental, vision, life, retirement).
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and benefits administration processes.
• Understanding of regulations such as HIPAA, ERISA, ACA, FMLA.

Responsibilities

• Assist with employee enrollment, changes, and termination of benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, retirement).
• Maintain accurate benefits records and handle data for compliance reporting.
• Respond to employee questions about plans, eligibility, and claims.
• Coordinate with insurance carriers and benefit vendors.
• Support open enrollment materials and benefits communication.
• Prepare enrollment activity reports and program costs.
