Job summary

Prevea Health is seeking a Benefit Specialist to provide benefits support in hiring, open enrollment and terminations. You will process benefit paperwork, ACA reporting and coordination of disability within our HRIS system and ensure accurate enrollment and compliance.

This full-time role requires strong confidentiality, excellent interpersonal skills and meticulous data handling to support a compassionate, compliant benefits program for a large health system in Wisconsin.

• Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Benefit support and main contact for benefit questions and issues.
• Conducts New Hire Benefit Orientation and verifies new hire enrollments.
• Conducts monthly reconciliation of all insurance benefit plans and verifications.
• Aids in annual Flex Forfeiture and rollover analysis.
• Creates and distributes COBRA and termination paperwork and administers COBRA with 3rd party administrator.
• Administers HRIS data entry, employee status changes, carrier notifications, workflows and reporting.
• Coordinates leaves and FMLA; manages disability benefits and leaves.
• Provides support to HR; maintains employee files.
