Job summary

Care New England Health System is seeking a Benefits Specialist to administer and deliver employee benefits programs across the organization. You will liaise with vendors, advise employees on eligibility and coverage, and deliver excellent customer service. Role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5–7 years in benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5–7 years benefits experience.
• CEBS or CBP certification preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables).
• Knowledge of employment law as it relates to employee benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provides benefits support to employees and responds to inquiries with timely, high-quality service.
• Maintains understanding of multiple benefit plans and complex designs.
• Ensures accuracy of enrollment data and payroll file transfers through audits and checks.
• Administers tuition reimbursement program and tracks requests.
• Monitors benefit payments for leaves and coordinates with payroll and internal teams.
• Reconciles benefit carrier invoices and processes payments.
• Supports annual Open Enrollment and tests enrollment site functionality.
• Assists in creating and reviewing benefit communication materials.
• Attends benefit fairs and new employee orientations as needed.
• Assists with ACA reporting and compliance.
