Towne Insurance is seeking a Director of Operations for our Benefits team in Norfolk, VA. This leadership role directs Administrative support, Enrollment Experience, Technology, Compliance, HR, and vendor relationships to drive efficiency, risk management, and growth.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of progressive operations leadership, 5+ years in a senior role, and a business-focused degree, with strong insurance domain knowledge and proven leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of progressive operational leadership experience.
• 5+ years in a senior management role.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, or related field.
• Five years of independent insurance agency experience.
• Demonstrated success leading teams and driving improvements.
• Understanding of insurance products and services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance.
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and long-term plans.
• Drive process improvements, metrics, technology enhancements, and workflow optimization.
• Evaluate risks and develop mitigation to minimize disruption.
• Lead directors and department heads, fostering accountability and high performance.
• Oversee vendor governance, contract management, and vendor reviews.
• Identify cost savings and resource optimization opportunities.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to policies.
• Support annual planning and forecasting with leadership.
• Oversee system implementations and technology integrations.
