Towne Insurance is seeking a Director of Operations for the Benefits team in Virginia. This role leads the Administrative Support, Enrollment Experience, Technology, Compliance and HR functions, the SBU, and vendor relationships to drive efficiency and growth.

The position requires 8–10 years of operational leadership, a bachelor's degree, and proven ability to craft strategic plans, manage vendors, and develop talent across multiple teams. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of progressive operational leadership experience.
• 5+ years in a senior management role.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, or a related field.
• Five years of independent insurance agency experience.
• Demonstrated success leading teams and driving operational improvements.
• Strong communication and vendor management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and policy compliance.
• Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives and long-term plans.
• Drive process improvements, performance metrics, and technology enhancements to boost efficiency.
• Evaluate operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruption.
• Provide leadership and development for directors and department heads; foster accountability and high performance.
• Coordinate with external partners and vendors to ensure service levels and contract adherence.
