Job summary

DePaul is hiring a full-time Benefits Manager to oversee administration, compliance, and continuous improvement of employee benefits for multiple affiliated organizations serving more than 850 employees. This role manages health and welfare benefits, workers' compensation, leave administration support, regulatory compliance, vendor relationships, open enrollment, and employee education.

You will partner with leadership, brokers, and consultants to deliver compliant, cost-effective benefit

Qualifications

• Five years of benefits administration experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and strong communication skills
• ADP experience strongly preferred
• Valid NY State driver's license preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in business/HR and HR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary resource for employee benefits questions and concerns.
• Administer all employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, FSA/HSA, COBRA, and wellness initiatives.
• Manage benefit eligibility, enrollments, life events, status changes, and terminations in ADP and vendor systems.
• Coordinate annual open enrollment, employee communications, education sessions, and benefit presentations.
• Reconcile benefit invoices, monitor vendor payments, and resolve discrepancies.
• Partner with brokers and consultants on benefit strategy, renewals, cost containment, and plan improvements.
• Oversee workers' compensation administration, including claim review and investigations.
• Ensure compliance with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, OSHA, ADA, EEOC, Medicare, and related reporting.
• Monitor HRIS processes affecting benefit eligibility and ACA measurement periods.
• Support leadership training related to benefits, leaves of absence, and workers' compensation.
• Maintain expertise in FMLA, ADA, COBRA, and Workers' Compensation regulations.
