Job summary

Wallick Communities in New Albany, OH, seeks a Benefits and Leave Specialist to administer benefits, leave programs, and workers’ compensation for a 100% employee-owned company. You will manage enrollment, COBRA, vendor relations, and HRIS records, ensuring regulatory compliance and accurate reporting.

You’ll partner across HR and management to improve programs, handle inquiries, and support open enrollment, wellness initiatives, and education while upholding confidentiality and customer service

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of related experience in employee benefits, leave administration, workers’ compensation, or a related HR specialty.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or combination of relevant education and experience.
• Knowledge of ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, Section 125, and ACA compliance.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to handle confidential information.
• Experience with Workers’ Compensation TPA/MCO and HRIS reporting.
• Proficient in organizational tasks and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Administer benefits programs and leave administration in the HRIS system.
• Coordinate COBRA and related vendor communications for compliance.
• Respond to associate inquiries about benefits, leave, and workers’ compensation.
• Maintain confidential leave records and support ACA reporting and open enrollment.
• Collaborate with vendors to analyze metrics and drive program improvements.
• Support payroll impacts and return‑to‑work processes.
