Job summary

Symetra is seeking an Associate Benefits Operations Analyst to lead the end-to-end implementation of small group employee benefit plans, including Life, AD&D, Disability, and more. You will manage the Dearborn-to-Symetra migration and coordinate with multiple departments to ensure accurate, compliant onboarding and timely project delivery.

The role offers flexible full-time or hybrid telecommuting arrangements, with a pathway to permanent implementation work post-migration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Finance or equivalent experience in workforce benefits/medical insurance.
• Proven project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to manage end-to-end implementation projects with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end implementation of small group employee benefit plans.
• Support all phases of the Dearborn-to-Symetra migration project.
• Coordinate implementation activities with Underwriting, Contracts, Billing, Claims, Compliance, IT, and Customer Service.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, brokers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor implementation timelines and ensure projects are completed on schedule.
• Research, resolve, and elevate implementation issues as appropriate.
• Review contracts and plan documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate eligibility file setup and testing with customers and IT partners.
• Prepare onboarding materials, implementation documentation, and customer communications.
• Maintain implementation records and provide status updates to leadership.
