Job summary

The State of Wyoming's Department of Family Services seeks a case management professional to oversee economic assistance, information, and referral cases, ensuring safety and protection for families. You will determine eligibility for TANF, Medicaid, food assistance, and related programs, coordinating with partners to deliver timely benefits.

Preferred candidates will have strong interviewing skills, knowledge of applicable laws and procedures, and a background in Benefits and Eligibility,

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• 0-2 years of progressive work experience (Benefits and Eligibility).
• OR 2-4 years of progressive work experience (Benefits and Eligibility).
• FLSA: Non-Exempt.
• Background information check including fingerprints.

Responsibilities

• Provides support of economic assistance programs such as TANF, Medicaid, food stamps, etc.
• Determines eligibility for programs based on income and asset guidelines.
• Provides benefits timely and accurately while collaborating with state and community partners.
• Assists with audits to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
• Maintains computer databases and enters information.
• Conducts client interviews to determine eligibility.
• Maintains cases once approved.
• Maintains public relations with community referral agencies and others.
• Recognizes and provides intervention services for people in crisis.
• Trains new employees.
• Assists with hearings through written or verbal testimony or exhibits.
