As a Benefits Coordinator in North Kansas City, MO, you will work closely with our human resources and payroll departments to coordinate daily benefits processing. You will research benefit plans, communicate with employees, and resolve benefit-related issues. Strong interpersonal skills, meticulous record-keeping, and collaboration with other departments and external providers are essential.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Process enrollments, including benefits and updating beneficiary coverage.
  • Develop training materials and translations for benefit-related documents.
  • Generate enrollment reports to ensure benefits are accurately reflected in payroll.
  • Prepare and maintain weekly/monthly reports on employee metrics.
  • Coordinate distribution of benefits information and eligibility criteria.
  • Ensure timely distribution of employee notices.
  • Organize and conduct benefits education meetings.
  • Manage employee inquiries via phone and email.
  • Collaborate with payroll, HRIS, and employee services.
  • Create ESOP and open enrollment packets.
  • Assist with claims issues.
  • Respond to employee questions about FMLA rights and procedures.
  • Maintain documentation related to FMLA requests and approvals.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or 4-5 years of benefit experience, preferably on the employer side.
  • Extensive proficiency in Excel.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits regulations, including FMLA.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS software.
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English.
