Job summary

Care New England Health System is seeking a Benefits Specialist to administer and deliver employee benefits programs. You will act as a liaison between vendors and employees, advising on eligibility and coverage while delivering excellent customer service. The role requires 5–7 years of benefits experience, a Bachelor's degree, and strong analytics with Excel.

CEBS/CBP is preferred. This position supports ACA reporting, tuition reimbursement, and benefits communications within a Rhode Island

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 5–7 years of benefits experience.
• CEBS or CBP certification preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated experience in administering medical, dental, life/disability, and other benefits.
• Strong analytical skills and Excel proficiency (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
• Knowledge of employment law related to employee benefits.
• Strong communication, detail orientation, and confidentiality.
• Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provides benefits support to employees and resolves inquiries with excellent service.
• Maintains understanding of multiple benefit plans and complex designs.
• Ensures accuracy of enrollment data and payroll file transfers.
• Administers tuition reimbursement and tracks requests.
• Monitors benefit payment information for leaves and coordinates with internal teams.
• Reconciles carrier invoices for timely payment.
• Supports annual Open Enrollment and enrollment site testing.
• Assists with benefits communications and materials.
