Job summary

AlphaStaffHCM is seeking a Benefits Compliance Specialist to support the administration and compliance of master and client-sponsored health and welfare employee benefit programs. This role collaborates with Benefits, HR, Payroll, Insight Business and Insurance Solutions, brokers, carriers, and TPAs to ensure accurate programs while remaining compliant with applicable regulations.

The position emphasizes open enrollment, regulatory reporting, data analysis, and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in benefits administration and compliance.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local benefits regulations.
• Experience with Form 5500 reporting.
• Familiarity with 401(k) governance and fiduciary processes.
• Certifications such as CEBS or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Benefits Compliance Calendar and regulatory deadlines.
• Coordinate required employee benefit notices, disclosures, and communications.
• Support administration of health, welfare, and voluntary benefit plans.
• Assist with Form 5500 filings, audits, and annual testing.
• Develop reports and compliance tracking tools.
• Support vendor performance reviews and service delivery.
