AlphaStaffHCM is seeking a Benefits Compliance Specialist to support the administration and compliance of master and client-sponsored health and welfare employee benefit programs. This role partners with the AlphaStaffHCM Benefits, HR, and Payroll teams, AlphaStaffHCM's affiliated insurance agency, Insight Business and Insurance Solutions, Inc., brokers, carriers, and TPAs to ensure benefit programs are administered accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for benefits administration and compliance.
Benefits Administration: Demonstrates expertise in administering employee benefit programs, ensuring accurate enrollment, eligibility management, and employee support while maintaining compliance with plan requirements.
Compliance Management: Applies thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local benefits regulations to ensure organizational compliance, mitigate risk, and support audit readiness.
Analytical Thinking: Utilizes data analysis and critical thinking skills to identify trends, resolve complex benefits issues, and recommend effective solutions that support business objectives.
Vendor Management: Builds and maintains productive relationships with benefits vendors and third-party administrators to ensure service quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Attention to Detail: Maintains a high level of accuracy when reviewing benefits data, documentation, communications, and regulatory requirements to minimize errors and ensure compliance.
Project Coordination: Effectively coordinates benefits-related projects, system implementations, and annual enrollment activities, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations are met.
Communication: Communicates benefits information clearly and professionally to employees, vendors, and leadership, translating complex regulatory and plan details into understandable guidance.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identifies opportunities to enhance benefits processes, controls, and employee experience through process optimization, compliance best practices, and innovative solutions.
This position is primarily office-based, with work performed on a computer in either a corporate office or a remote home office setting. The role may require using telephones, participating in virtual or in-person meetings, attending company events, and completing training sessions.
