Job summary

Addison Group is hiring a Benefits Analyst for a private research university in Washington, DC to provide hands-on support for employee benefits administration, inquiries, and Open Enrollment activities. The ideal candidate is organized, service-oriented, comfortable handling sensitive benefits information, and able to manage a high volume of requests in a fast-paced environment.

2 years of benefits experience, strong Excel and HRIS skills (Workday/ServiceNow) are preferred.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2 years of experience in benefits administration or HR.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using HRIS/ticketing systems (Workday/ServiceNow or similar).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Attention to detail with sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Respond to benefits questions via email, phone, and HR ticketing platform.
• Assist employees, faculty, staff, and retirees with health, welfare, retirement, and leave benefits.
• Coordinate and execute Open Enrollment activities and communications.
• Maintain retirement plan administration and compliance-related tasks.
• Research complex benefits questions and escalate as needed.
• Analyze benefits data and assist with reporting.
• Develop FAQs and standard responses for benefits information.
• Support new-hire benefits enrollment and ongoing administration.
• Suggest process improvements for benefits operations.
