The Benefits Analyst, under general supervision of Benefits Manager, is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the employee health and retirement plans.
Responsibilities
- Assists Benefits Manager with implementation, communication and compliance of all domestic and international retirement, health, dental, COBRA, life and disability, and voluntary benefit programs.
- Responsible for invoice validation and processing and ensuring timely payment.
- Coordination of health insurance open enrollment process.
- Manage Leave administration, including military leave, short- and long-term disability and FML claims, including staying abreast of individual state leave programs and communicating with management.
- Maintains Evidence of Insurability process and records.
- Manages Workers Compensation/ADA requests, including monitoring work comp claims reporting, record keeping, employee return to work status.
- Assists with 401(k) plan administration.
- Coordinate DBA/BTA claims, inclusive of repatriation with various carriers.
- Oversees the benefit fair and monthly wellness initiatives.
- Supports all regulatory compliance and reporting requirements, to include 5500, ACA, non-discrimination testing, Safe Harbor, and Medicare Part D notices, OSHA, etc.
- Analyze accident trends and work with supervisors and insurance carriers to reduce claims.
- Other special projects as assigned by Benefits Manager or other HR team members.
- Runs reports and conduct data anlaysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related or similar field; or equivalent experience.
- Three to five years of experience in benefits administration, preferably at a Government Contracting firm with a global workforce.
- Experience working with online benefit enrollment systems.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to develop content and edit copy.
- Experience with global benefit plans and regulations.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and oral communication skill that include the ability to communicate effectively in a timely, concise, courteous, tactful, and professional manner.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Ability to manage confidential information.
- Ability to be available 24/7 for emergencies.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Service Contract Act preferred.
- Experience working with Collective Bargaining Agreements preferred.
Working Conditions
- Normal office working conditions.
- Remote position.
- Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary.
