Position Description
The Senior Benefits Analyst will work closely with the Manager of Benefits and support the Director of Benefits, H&W, and Leave. This role focuses on evaluating, implementing, and managing employee benefit programs and vendors impacting over 90,000 employees and dependents. The position involves partnering with the Benefits Administration team, HR, Legal, Communications, and third-party administrators.
Key Relationships
- Works closely with the Manager, Director, and Senior Director of Benefits
- Collaborates with Total Rewards COE teams and stakeholders for program design and solutions
- Coordinates with Legal and HR to ensure compliance with plans and policies
- Maintains relationships with external vendors and supports compliance with benefit and leave regulations
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure practices follow plan documents, ERISA, DOL regulations, and CBAs for US health and insurance programs
- Understand policies and program guidelines
- Lead or support benefit projects like acquisitions and divestitures
- Create processes and templates for projects and work with carriers
- Manage escalations related to benefits, research issues, and coordinate with management or legal counsel
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding benefits and leaves
- Support communication materials for benefits, including annual enrollment and summaries
- Manage participant claims and appeals, including drafting determination letters
- Support benefits communication and training materials
- Play a key role in the annual enrollment process
- Monitor vendor performance and manage projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; CEBS certification a plus
- 5+ years of health and welfare analysis experience in a large company
- Familiarity with Health & Insurance and ERISA
- Strong data analysis, insights development, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
Compensation
- Annual salary: $66,560 - $106,080, depending on location, qualifications, and experience
- Management roles may include sign-on and relocation bonuses
