Carroll Insurance Agency Ltd in Houston, Texas is seeking an experienced Account Manager for our Health & Benefits team. You will manage an assigned portfolio of employee benefits clients, build strong relationships and ensure excellent service throughout the year.

You will own accounts, coordinate renewals, enrollments, and benefit administration, work with carriers and internal teams, and proactively identify client needs to support retention and growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of employee benefits account management or related brokerage experience preferred.
• Active Texas General Lines – Life & Health insurance license.
• Strong knowledge of group medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits.
• Experience with fully insured and level-funded benefit plans preferred.
• Experience with Employee Navigator or similar benefits administration platforms preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple accounts and competing deadlines.
• A proactive, service-oriented approach with a strong sense of accountability and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for assigned employer groups and maintain strong client relationships.
• Manage renewal process from initial preparation through implementation, including carrier negotiations and renewal presentations.
• Coordinate Open Enrollment activities, employee communications, benefit administration platforms, and carrier implementations.
• Proactively identify client needs, address service concerns, and support account retention.
• Review benefit plans, rates, enrollment materials, and documentation accuracy.
• Work closely with Producers, carriers, vendors, and internal team members to resolve issues and deliver effective solutions.
• Provide direction and delegate responsibilities to supporting team members while maintaining overall accountability for assigned accounts.
• Assist clients with benefit administration questions and coordinate compliance-related resources as needed.
• Maintain accurate account records and follow established workflows and departmental timelines.
