Job summary

Northeastern University in Oakland seeks a Student Services Coordinator to design and coordinate cohort-based programs, fostering belonging and student success during transition. You will work across Student Life and campus partners to deliver inclusive programming, events, and community outreach that support academic, personal, and social growth.

Responsibilities include programming, staff oversight, budgets, and community partnerships; you will recruit and coach student staff, monitor program

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree; Master's preferred.
  • 3–5 years in student affairs or related programming.
  • Knowledge of student development theory and best practices.
  • Proven expertise in event planning and program management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills across diverse groups.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships in a multicultural environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during orientation and peak times.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver a calendar of cohort-based programs and events.
  • Coordinate and assess program effectiveness using feedback and data.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise student staff and peer leaders.
  • Manage budgets and prepare program reports and communications.
  • Foster partnerships with community organizations to expand resources.
