Job summary

Northeastern University’s Oakland campus is seeking a Student Services Coordinator to design and coordinate cohort-based programming that supports first-year students during a crucial transition. The role centers on fostering belonging, coordinating events, and shaping a positive student experience on campus.

You will collaborate with Student Life and campus partners to deliver inclusive programs, supervise student staff, and manage program budgets while building external partnerships to expand

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in student affairs, first-year programs, orientation, or related higher education programming.
• Demonstrated knowledge of student development theory and best practices in student affairs.
• Proven expertise in event planning, coordination, and program management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with diverse constituencies, including students, families, faculty, and staff.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships within a multicultural environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during orientation periods and peak programming cycles.

Responsibilities

• Programming: Design, coordinate, and implement a calendar of cohort-based programs and events.
• Student Staff Oversight: Recruit, train, and supervise student staff and peer leaders; provide coaching and evaluations.
• Administrative Functions: Manage budgets, purchases, expenses, forecasting, and Concur submissions; prepare reports.
• Community Outreach & Resource Connection: Build partnerships with community organizations and connect students to resources.
