• Remains vigilant to hotel security and safety policies
• Transports guests to airports or local attractions in company vehicle

Primary Objective of Bellman Position

To serve hotel guests during their stay bymaking it easier and more enjoyable to arrive, check in and stay at theproperty.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes andescorts guests upon arrival; exhibits courteous manners in accordance withBartell Hotels standards.
• Assistsguests with baggage to/from the Front Office and/or Guest Rooms
• Increasesguest-utilization of hotel facilities by promoting hotel restaurants and otherservices and facilities to guests
• Maintainsworking knowledge of hotel, in-house facilities, and local information torespond to guest questions in these areas as required
• Stores andreceives guest baggage when requested; issues completed claim checks to guestswhen storing baggage
• Contactslocal ground transportation, assisting guests as needed into vehicle
• Deliversphone messages, mail or packages, candy, telegrams, flowers, etc., to guestrooms
• Collects andreturns outgoing guest laundry and dry cleaning
• Pages guestin lobby or other areas of the hotel as needed
• Maintainsthe upkeep and appearance of the hotel lobby, entrance, and baggage storageareas, to include light cleaning
• Contributesto the overall security of the hotel by reporting any unusual occurrences tosecurity
• Reports entranceof unauthorized, undesirable, or suspicious people to security
• Turns lostarticles to "Lost and Found"
• Transporthotel guests to Airport and/or local attractions in company vehicle
• Drivecompany vehicle to the corporate office for inter-office mail delivery/pick-up
• Must have open availability including weekends

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Whileperforming the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand;walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk orhear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to climb orbalance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as well as frequently liftingand/or moving up to 100 pounds.Theemployee must also be able to go up and down a flight of stairs while carrying75 pounds.The employee is sometimesexposed to outside weather conditions and the noise level in the workenvironment is usually moderate.
