Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking Bell Persons/Valet Persons for Le Meridien Chicago - Oakbrook Center in Oak Brook, IL. This role involves helping guests with luggage, guiding them through hotel facilities, and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Ideal candidates will have at least 6 months of guest-facing experience, a valid driver’s license (manual transmission preferred), and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Position requires at least 6 months of guest/customer facing experience.
• Valid driver’s license with no violations is required.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle is required.
• Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to push a bell cart up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Show guests to rooms and assist with luggage.
• Explain hotel facilities, hours, and answer questions.
• Check luggage for day and overnight guests.
• Maintain the lobby station and be ready to assist.
• Open doors and greet guests courteously.
• Keep bell stand, lobby and baggage area clean.
• Post daily events and entertainment boards in the lobby.
• Maintain open communication across shifts.
• Deliver messages and valet items to guest rooms.
• Perform pickups and drop-offs for guests and inspect vehicles.
• May perform valet duties as needed.
• Assist front desk with key inventory and supplies.
• Adhere to attendance policies and be available to work as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

• Show guests to room assisting them with their luggage.
• Explain all hotel facilities, their location in the hotel, hours of operation, and answer all questions about these facilities and other hotel questions.
• Check luggage for hotel guests both for day and overnight.
• Maintain the designated station in the lobby, standing alert to be easily summoned
• Open doors and greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the bell stand, lobby and baggage area. Keep lobby door and windows clean when not busy with guests.
• Post the daily events board and entertainment board in the lobby.
• Maintain an open communication line through all shifts.
• Deliver messages and valet to guest rooms.
• Perform pickups and drop-offs for the guests in a timely and friendly manner and inspect vehicles.
• May perform the duties of a valet as required.
• Assist front desk with key inventory.

• Position requires a valid driver's license without violations.
