Job summary

The Loren at Lady Bird Lake in Austin is seeking a courteous Bell/Door Attendant to create the first impression for guests and provide exceptional service from arrival through departure.

This full-time role requires a friendly, outgoing presence, the ability to transport guests safely around Austin, and attentiveness to details, amenities, and local attractions. Prior hotel experience is preferred, with flexible hours and a strong guest-service mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous hotel or guest-service experience is a plus.
• Excellent guest-service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort guests to rooms and assist with entry/exit.
• Open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving the property.
• Operate the company vehicle to transport guests safely around Austin.
• Coordinate with the Guest Services team to manage transportation requests.
• Inform guests of property amenities, hours, and local points of interest.
• Assist with luggage storage and retrieval and with loading/unloading luggage.

Job Summary/Responsibilities

Reporting to the Guest Services Leadership Team, the Bell/Door Attendant role is responsible for creating the first impression of The Loren for its guests. This position requires friendly, outgoing, and informed staff to ensure the guests receive exemplary service from the moment they touch the property to the moment they depart. Some of the key duties and responsibilities include:

• Greet and escort guests to rooms.
• Open doors and assist guests/visitors entering and leaving the property.
• Operate the company vehicle to provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation for guests to and from various locations in Austin.
• Coordinate with the Guest Services team to efficiently manage transportation requests and schedules.
• Inform guests of property amenities, services, hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities.
• Transport guest luggage to and from valet, guest rooms, and/or designated bell area.
• Assist with luggage storage and retrieval.
• Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors.
• Assist guests/visitors in and out of vehicles, including assisting guests with loading/unloading luggage.
• Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsEducation/Formal Training

High school or equivalent education preferred.

Experience

Previous hotel experience preferred. Ability to embody and impart The Loren's unique culture to guests and associates. Ability to maintain a friendly and engaging disposition. Ability to work flexible hours required.

Strong attention to details. Excellent Guest Service skills. Friendly demeanor and robust communication skills.
