Job summary

Hotel Burbank is seeking a Bel Attendant to drive hotel shuttles, assist guests with luggage, and respond to requests to ensure outstanding service. The role requires professionalism, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to carry or move luggage as needed.

You will greet guests, escort them to rooms, assist with room moves, and help maintain a clean entrance. Must be 21+, have a valid driver's license, pass the MVR, and be able to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort arriving and departing guests to and from their accommodations.
• Present a professional, friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.
• Assist guests by opening doors, unloading luggage, transporting to rooms, or using a luggage cart.
• Acquaint guests with rooms and their features.
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
• Make deliveries to guest rooms upon request.
• Organize and store luggage according to guidelines.
• Ensure management is aware of guest feedback from guests and/or other departments.
• Assist with room moves and special luggage deliveries, and attend the main lobby/front door as needed.
• Keep the breezeway and entry area clean and attractive.
• Drive shuttle vehicles to guest destinations (rooms, local airport) as needed.
• Operate hotel shuttles safely and follow driver policies.
• Provide precise directions and suggestions to guests about hotel amenities and nearby destinations.
• Be watchful of security issues and report suspicious activity.
• Assist with other duties as requested by management in hotel operations.

Job Summary:

The Bel Attendant is responsible for driving hotel shuttles, transferring/storing luggage, and responding to guest requests in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Practice OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and comply with a l company safety policies and procedures.
• Greet and escort arriving and departing guests to and from their accommodations.
• Present a personal demeanor that is professional, friendly, cheerful and courteous at all times
• Assist guests by opening doors, unloading luggage from vehicle and transporting to their room, personally carrying the luggage or using a luggage cart.
• Acquaint guests with these rooms and their features.
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
• Make deliveries to guest rooms upon request.
• Organize and store luggage, as needed, according to guidelines.
• Ensure that the management/leadership team is kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests and/or other departments.
• Assist with room moves, special luggage deliveries and/or pulls, and attend the main lobby and front door, as needed.
• Ensure that the hotel breezeway and entry area is free of debris and present a clean and attractive entry to customers.
• Drive property-designated vehicles to and from guest destinations such as guest room or local airport, as needed.
• Operate hotel shuttles in a safe manner and follow company driver policies/procedures.
• Treat and assist passengers in a positive, professional manner and confront situations tactfully.
• Provide precise directions and offer suggestions to guests for both hotel amenities and nearby destinations, or direct guests to the most appropriate staff member to do so.
• Be watchful of any security issues and contact security immediately when there is an issue.
• Report suspicious activity.
• Assist with other duties as requested by management in the hotel operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Pass the motor vehicle record check as per our insurance requirements.

Bilingual Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for the duration of shift (eight hours or longer).
• Ability to lift and/or move and/or push up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to use hands to handle luggage; reach with hands and arms.
