Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Vacaville, CA is seeking an Intensive Behavioral Support Provider to support individuals with developmental delays and challenging behaviors. The role involves one-to-one behavioral interventions and daily activities across self-help, communication, social, cognitive, and motor skills.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, and relevant experience; CPR/First Aid certification and TB test are required or pending.

Qualifications

• TB test updated within 90 days or willingness to get.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Support daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior areas.
• Assist with personal care activities including bathing, meals, dressing and mobility as needed.
• Implement and collect data on behaviors and goals per the Behavior Support Plan.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges
• Provides/assists with daily program activities in the areas of self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience working in an educational or healthcare setting preferred
• At least one year of experience working with children/adults with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field preferred
• Current in-person CPR/ First Aid certification for Adult & Children (or willing to get)
• Updated TB test within past 90 days (or willing to get)
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
